Spring it is!

Well FINALLY. I noticed it was the first real day of spring when I caught an insect in the back of my throat, and then proceeded to be chased by a big round bumblebee. (ah THAT's why they draw 'em like that in the kids books!)

Here's some weekend photos for you all:

Trinity park

The Trinity something park near my house. Is bewdiful and spent Sunday lying in said park reading and people watching.

aunts and uncles

The cafe I found which is really really neat - it's called 'Aunts & Uncles' and it is 50s kitsch on the inside and makes great traditional breakfasts and portugese influenced brekkie omletes. mmmmmmmmm.

Walking home from work

Can't really see it, but the leaves are starting to come out on the trees. Toronto is going to be a different city in summer, methinks.

Street art near my place on Bloor St West. If I see more I'll take photos for you Rollercoaster designers out there:

This is a really cool little cinema right around the corner from my place, called the Palace or something. It shows cool art house and documentary films, as well as films that have been previously released (a bit like Govinda's movies)

Financial building in Toronto. I took this while I was waiting for a street car. I mean Tram. I mean.. I can't bring myself to call it what they call it here... TTC! How boring!

my first impression of a walmart store

This is my photographic representation of what I thought of my first Wal Mart experience. Yes it was big, but boy was it busy, messy, smelly. Chaos man! This is me sitting down waiting for my friend to finish her shop.

Montreal

One week late here are some more dogdy phone photos, this time from montreal.

1. The phallic symbol of montreal at their Olympic park... and it wasn't even finished in time for the Olympics! read more about this here.

2. The... trains... of Montreal. Heck I was bored! It was cold outside! Shaaaddup!

Where I am putting my creativity

Besides up my bum, I finally understand why a guy called Stuckey at ABC made such cool xcel spreadsheets. While I'm new there's not really a place to create games or think up new websites, so I'm currently limited to organising the different colours and fonts of my staff schedule.

boring schedule

But here is something that's cool - all the staff members got their very own figurines of themselves a few years back. This one is of a guy called mark - He dressed up as zorro, and they made a mark/zorro figure of him. On the packaging they've included the original photo, and branded it with 'Snappers'

Planning a trip to Montreal

So, like, where should I go? I'm going to Montreal in a fortnight's time, and I think I need help in deciding what to do there. What should I do?
